Call for papers

Scientific conference will be held from the 14th to the 15th of October 2008, within the framework of the activities commemorating the foundation date of Riga Technical University. The conference has been envisaged as a regular scientific conference and its main aim is to acquaint scientists with achievements in area of power and electrical engineering and environment science and to give the scientists, especially doctoral students, the opportunity to publish the results of their research.


The main official conference language is English. Latvian and Russian are also possible during presentation only.

The registration fee includes a copy of the conference proceedings, admittance to all sessions, refreshment breaks and the conference dinner. All authors whose papers are accepted must register in advance for the conference in order to have their papers published in Proceedings. The registration fee is 200 EUR (for invited presentations there will be reduction of fee, for members of International Program Committee fee is 100 EUR).



Important dates


April 30, 2008                 - submission of preliminary registration form and abstracts

May, 15, 2008                 - notification of abstract acceptance

June, 15, 2008               - submission of final papers

July, 1, 2008                  - notification of final acceptance

September, 15, 2008      - deadline of sending out the conference programs






Authors are invited to submit about 10 000 characters extended abstract of paper on A4 format paper. The Times New Roman 12pt regular font should be used. Abstracts can be submitted by E-mail, Fax or mail to the address for Correspondence.
