Invitation

Dear Colleagues,

You are invited to submit your papers to the 50th International Scientific Conference on Power and Electrical Engineering. Scientific conference will be held from the 14th to the 16th of October 2009. The conference has been envisaged as a regular scientific conference and its main aim is to acquaint scientists with achievements in area of power and electrical engineering and to give the scientists, especially doctoral students, the opportunity to publish the results of their research.

 

Conference Language

The main official conference language is English.

Registration Fee

The registration fee for each accepted paper for publishing in the 50th International Scientific Conference on Power and Electrical Engineering is 50 EUR. It includes edition of the Conference materials, Conference proceedings (hard copy and CD), and coffee break. This fee does not include accommodation payment. The deadline for the registration fee payment is June 19, 2009.

Do not forget to write identification number No. 7569 and first author surname in payment details and do notice that the transfer into bank account ensures on average 3 days. Commission fee must be paid by remitter.

To the Authors

1. Submission of full papers and summaries

The authors are invited to submit electronically the preliminary versions of full papers and summaries for revision until May 24, 2009, by e-mail to the address for correspondence.

Full paper template is included in the attachment of e-mail (see Formatting Rules.doc). The manuscript has to be prepared as a MS Word, not older than MS Word 2000 (*.doc). Other formats must not be used. The size of the preliminary version of full paper excluding summary is 4 or 6 pages.

The summary should be on individual A4 page. Authors from Latvia are asked to prepare summary in Latvian, English and Russian. Foreign authors should prepare summary in English and reserve place for other summaries. The length of the summary in each language should be one third of A4 paper (about 300 words). Formatting rules are the same as for full paper.

Remember to check spelling. If your English is unsatisfactory, please get a native or well English-speaking colleague to proofread your paper. Undecipherable English is a valid reason for rejection.

The authors will be notified about the acceptance or rejection of the full papers before June 5, 2009.

 

2. Registration

It is expected that one author of each paper will register by e-mail to the address for correspondence. For registration form see Registration Form.doc. Registration deadline is May 24, 2009 (see ''Important Dates'').

 

3. Submission of final papers

Authors of accepted papers are invited to submit the full papers (taking into account the reviewers' comments, if any) until June 19, 2009 by e-mail to the address for correspondence.

The conference program will be sent before September 15, 2009.

 

4. Publication

All accepted papers will be included in ''The Scientific Proceedings of Riga Technical University''.
