Please note, that since the deadline of registration and submission of full papers for revision is prolonged for 3 weeks, the deadlines of acceptance notification, payment, and submission of the final version of the paper and summaries are respectively prolonged as well (see "Important Dates").

All accepted papers will be included in an electronic version of conference proceedings (CD). In addition reviewers’ highly-evaluated papers will be included in a hard copy (scientific Journal of Riga Technical University). Those authors, who have already submitted papers, can improve/change their papers till mentioned date and submit them once more!

 

Invitation

The 51st International Scientific Conference of Riga Technical University on Power and Electrical Engineering will be held in Riga, Latvia on October 2010. Intention of the organizers is to give an opportunity to scientists, engineers and manufacturers as well as to doctoral students from all over the world to meet and discuss recent development and their achievements in the area of power and electrical engineering.

 

Conference Language

The official working language of the conference is English. It will be used for all printed materials, presentations and discussions.

Submission of full papers for reviewing

The authors are invited to submit electronically full papers for reviewing until May 17, 2010, by e-mail to the address for correspondence.

Full paper template is included in the attachment of e-mail (see RTU_Template.doc). The manuscript has to be prepared as a MS Word, not older than MS Word 2000 (*.doc). Other formats must not be used. The size of full paper is 4 or 6 pages.

Remember to check spelling. If your English is unsatisfactory, please get a native or well English-speaking colleague to proofread your paper. Undecipherable English is a valid reason for rejection.

The authors will be notified about the acceptance or rejection of the full papers before June 21, 2010.

 

Registration

It is expected that one author of each paper will register by e-mail to the address for correspondence. Registration form is included in the attachment of e-mail (see Registration_Form.doc). Registration deadline for is May 17, 2010 (see “Important Dates”).

 

Registration Fee

The registration fee for each paper is 70 EUR or 50 LVL. One fee covers one person’s expenses for conference proceedings (hard copy and CD), lunch, gala dinner and refreshments, as well as the invitation for visa (only for authors and their accompanying persons). This fee does not include accommodation payment.

Admission to conference sessions is free.

 

Submission of final papers and summaries, and payment

Authors of accepted papers are invited to submit the full papers and summaries until July 12, 2010 by e-mail to the address for correspondence.

The summary should be on individual A4 page. Authors from Latvia are asked to prepare summary in Latvian, English and Russian. Foreign authors should prepare summary in English and reserve place for other summaries. The length of the summary in each language should be about 1500 signs including the title of the paper and surnames of the authors. Formatting rules are the same as for full paper.

The paper will be included in the conference program and conference proceedings only in case if the payment is transferred until the noted date (July 12, 2010). Therefore the information about your payment will be necessary. Please send a copy of payment order along with the full paper by e-mail to the address for correspondence.

 

Publication

The conference program will be sent before September 17, 2010.

All accepted papers will be included in “The Scientific Proceedings of Riga Technical University”.
